How much time does a Fractional CMO typically spend with our business?

A Fractional Chief Marketing Officer will typically work with you on a set number of days per month to help you achieve your goals faster.

1 day per week can often be enough for most SME's depending upon how aggressively you are trying to grow, and also based on how much of an existing marketing infrastructure is already in place or whether we are starting from scratch.

Options start from 1 day per month for those businesses who want the senior marketing expertise to help guide them in the right direction.

How much does a Fractional CMO cost?

The average basic salary of a CMO in the UK is £116k, a further £20k a year in bonuses, and if you allow for ER NI of 13.8% (£16,008) and 3% (£3,480)  minimum pension contribution. So in real terms you can expect for a CMO to cost £155,488 a year or a fraction under £13k a month.

You'll be pleased to hear that hiring a part time CMO or Fractional marketing support is much more cost-effective. Costs can vary significantly depending upon location and experience, but my Outsourced CMO services usually start from £2,400 a month.

 

Do you deliver Fractional support on-site or remotely?

In short, it depends. If you're a Yorkshire-based business then I will usually work on-site with you for at least half of the time each month, with the other half remotely delivered.

For businesses further afield it very much depends upon your requirements, but the majority of support will be delivered remotely. That being said, I'm a firm believer in face-time with clients and a core part of the initial engagement will be done face-to-face to ensure I am able to fully get to know the business, your goals and team.
